LINUX, THE GAME CHANGER

      This is literally my first blog! And i want to owe it to LINUX. Yes Linux is one of those Operating Systems that have come a long way to change the world.  From being opensource to a highly secure operating system it has got everything packed inside it. Linux is the best option for programmers as it has almost all the required tools already installed like compilers, debuggers and many more. Linux kernel (can be referred to as the heart of Linux) was written by Linus Torvalds in 1991. This kernel is used by mostly all Linux platforms. Unlike Windows OS, Linux provides the best security and is least vulnerable to viruses. This is the reason why Apple Inc., itself is slowly investing on opensource. More and more programmers are attracted towards Linux day by day.
      
       Linux comes in many distros (flavours) namely Ubuntu, Kali, Mint,  Debian and many more. Each flavour has got its own special feature and based on it the popularity is decided. The best user friendly distros are Ubuntu and Mint whereas best distro for hacking and penetration testing is Kali. Ubuntu is the most popular and widely used Linux distro today. It is based  on Debian OS. Another major distro is linux Mint. And the best thing about these is you can download them for free! And also you can modify and make changes for whatever you want.
   
      So this is it. In my next blog i will post more about Linux Distros and give a detailed information about each. :)
